Honda Click vs PCX Chiang Mai — Which Scooter Should You Rent? 2026

One of the most common questions we get at Papaya Rentals is: should I rent the Honda Click or the Honda PCX? Both are excellent bikes. Both are automatic. Both handle Chiang Mai's roads with ease. But they are meaningfully different — and choosing the right one makes a real difference to your experience.

This guide breaks down the Honda Click 160 vs Honda PCX 150 comparison in plain language — so you can make the right choice for your trip.

Honda Click 160 — Overview

The Honda Click 160 is Thailand's most popular scooter — and for good reason. It is practical, efficient, comfortable and capable of handling almost everything Chiang Mai has to offer. Our Click 160s are 2025-2026 models — virtually brand new.

Honda PCX 150 — Overview

The Honda PCX 150 is the premium step up from the Click. It is longer, more comfortable, more refined and designed for riders who want a more comfortable experience — particularly on longer rides and for two riders who want more space.

The Key Differences — What Actually Matters

1. Seat size and comfort for two riders

This is the most significant practical difference between the two bikes. The PCX has a noticeably longer and wider seat than the Click — making it significantly more comfortable for two riders on longer journeys.

If you are riding solo the difference is less important. If you are riding as a couple for extended periods — the PCX is the more comfortable choice.

2. Engine age

Our Click 160s are 2025-2026 models — virtually brand new. Our PCX 150s are 2016-2019 models with low mileage. In practice both bikes are well maintained and reliable — but the Click is newer.

3. Price

The Click 160 is meaningfully cheaper than the PCX 150 — particularly on longer rentals. If budget is a consideration and you are riding solo, the Click offers exceptional value.

4. Agility in the city

The Click is slightly shorter and more agile — easier to manoeuvre in tight city traffic and narrow streets. The PCX's longer wheelbase makes it slightly less nimble in very tight spaces.

5. Highway and long distance comfort

The PCX's longer wheelbase and more refined suspension make it marginally more comfortable on longer highway stretches. If you are planning extended road trips, the PCX has a slight edge on pure comfort.
